Chazt includes customer-facing role behavior. The visible roles identified in the app are:
Manager
Managers appear to have broader access than agents. Managers may be able to:
- View and manage team members
- Invite users
- Edit team member details
- Remove team members
- Access billing, pricing, organization settings, automation settings, WhatsApp settings, ticket settings, and developer tools
- Manage customer communication workflows
- Configure settings for the organization
Agent
Agents appear to have a more limited experience. Some admin-level items are hidden for agents, including billing, pricing, settings groups, and developer tools.
Agents may be able to:
- View assigned or available conversations, depending on ticket settings
- Reply to customer chats
- Work with assigned tickets or conversations
- Use available inbox and customer communication tools
- Access features granted by the workspace configuration
Permission restrictions in simple terms
Some features may not be visible if:
- Your role does not allow access
- The feature is not included or not enabled for your workspace
- The required messaging channel is not connected
- Billing is pending
- The feature depends on setup that has not been completed
For example, users may see messages such as:
- Billing pending. Please clear the outstanding bill to send campaigns.
- Please clear the outstanding bill to continue messaging.
- Connect WhatsApp to view chats.
- Feature not visible because the user may not have permission.
Items to Confirm
- Confirm whether there are additional customer-facing roles beyond Manager and Agent, such as Owner, Admin, or Super Admin.
- Confirm the exact permission matrix for each role.
- Confirm whether agents can view all chats, only assigned chats, or unassigned chats based on ticket settings.
- Confirm whether role names should be documented as Manager and Agent, or if customer-facing terminology differs.
