Creating Automations

Automations are the heart of Chazt. They allow you to handle routine conversations instantly, without lifting a finger.

The Visual Flow Builder

Navigate to the **Automations** tab in your dashboard. Here, you'll find our visual builder, which works like a flowchart. You can drag and drop different "blocks" to build a conversation.

  • **Message Blocks**: What the assistant says to the customer.
  • **Input Blocks**: Questions for the customer (e.g., "What is your order number?").
  • **Condition Blocks**: Decisions based on customer input (e.g., If "Refund", then branch left).
  • **Handover Blocks**: Escalate the conversation to a human agent.

Your First Automation

Follow these simple steps to build a basic FAQ automation:

1. Choose a Trigger

Select "Keyword Match" and add common words like "Hours", "Location", or "Pricing".

2. Add a Response

Drag a "Send Message" block and type in your answer.

3. Enable Human Backup

Add a "Handover" block at the end of the flow so customers can speak to a person if they still have questions.

Testing Your Flow

Use the **Test Mode** button in the top right corner of the builder to simulate the conversation. This allows you to verify that everything is working correctly before you publish it live.
